Collections

At the Bangladesh Heritage Museum we are seeking to collect objects and artifacts which are representing the Bangladeshi Canadian heritage here in our community. We are looking for work from past and recent artists with Bangladesh descent, and seek to re-visit the lives of the pioneers who formed our community.

Second we seek to showcase art and objects of daily life which originated from Bangladesh.

Paintings of Ishrat Jahan

October, 2015

Ishrat Jahan was born on March 25, 1987 in Comilla, Bangladesh and came to Canada in 2005. Her paintings express her pursuit with our environment on earth, featuring seasons, love, and change. Ishrat seeks to inspire our young generation with her paintings to express dedication and devotion through art.
